Don’t Panic! You Have Choices.

Well this month’s newsletter is a little late! You may or may not know that I’ve been overseas to see my mother who is in hospital. I’m glad I went as it meant I could actually appreciate what the issues are and what is going on. It also allowed some quality time with her. At the moment, she is stable though there is a long recovery process ahead for her.

I’ve returned, thankfully before the self isolation ruling kicked in, to increasing chaos and panic in Australia. I must admit that I’ve felt in a bit of a bubble whilst I was away as I didn’t watch the news and only had snippets of what was going on from the radio and updates from people I spoke to. The scale of it is quite overwhelming.

For your sanity don’t panic as you have choices.

I could have easily gone into panic and despondency regarding my mother’s state, however, I chose to stay centred, offer myself lots of Reiki healings and also use my distance healing skills to offer Reiki to her and her situation. This allowed me to stay calm, objective and pragmatic about it all.

You can choose to be affected by the Corona Virus madness or allow yourself to stand back and view the situation with composed detachment. From what I hear, this virus is unlikely to kill you if you’re in general good health. For most people this will not be an issue to overcome, so 10 packs of jumbo toilet roll are not required!

I intend to continue with my healing practice activities unless I get advice to do otherwise. These include:-

  • This workshop will provide you with practical self care techniques essential for remaining calm amongst the hysteria going on. Bookings being taken now.

Franklin D Roosevelt once said “the only thing you have to fear is fear itself”, and it’s true. Once you get into the cycle of fear then it spreads.
 
Make the choice not to get into a state of panic that sends you crazy. Choose to stay calm. This could be simply through practicing the calming breathing technique, offer yourself a healing if you’ve learned Reiki, or even better book in to receive one from me, then you can truly let go.
 
If you don’t have Reiki as part of your self care toolkit, now is the time to learn.
